I think these are a little pricey but interesting to note when thinking about packaging and shipping our garments to retail stores.
The HangSavvy hanger was created as an eco-friendly alternative to the standard plastic and metal hangers, without sacrificing quality, life span, nor performance. The hanger - made from recycled waste paper - has been weight tested up to 10kg and has a life comparable to that of normal hangers. As a result of using waste paper, the HangSavvy hanger is far less energy consuming to produce and recycle and its commercialisation has proven itself to be a realistic alternative.

ReplyDeleteit would be pretty cool if the hangers were hollow, and the garments could be shipped and packaged in the hangers themselves before retail presentation...
ReplyDeleteon a logistical note, they do have stores in the united states, but the company is originally based out of japan. not sure how closely we're keeping to the "domestic rule"
nice work melissa... that is a step in the right direction. yeah, "domestically" speaking it does cause a slight glitch, so maybe we can locate something similar here?...
ReplyDeleteExactly! That's what I'm searching for...
